Normal People is an Irish drama television series. The series chronicles Marianne Sheridan and Connell Waldron’s lives. From their secondary school years to their college years at Trinity College, the show chronicles the gradual development of Marianne and Connell’s relationship as they make the transition into adulthood. Normal People features Daisy Edgar-Jones as Marianne Sheridan and Paul Mescal as Connell Waldron, both played by Paul Mescal.

Marianne Wants Connell To Hit Her, But Why?
Jamie, Marianne’s ex-boyfriend, used to hit her. So, when she started dating Connell, she felt like she should hit herself every time she did something to make him angry. Connell, on the other hand, knew why Marianne felt this way, so he didn’t hit her.
