Famous House From “A Christmas Story” Filming Now Available for Sale
On Monday, the current owner of the Cleveland, Ohio, home where A Christmas Story was shot in 1983 put the property up for sale.
The home was officially listed for sale on Monday, November 14, 2022.
Cleveland’s historic Tremont district is home to this establishment, which can be found at 3159 West 11th Street.
Some of the most memorable scenes in the 1983 film took place at the fictional boyhood house of Ralphie Parker.
According to NBC, since transforming into a museum and a bed & breakfast in recent years, the 1895 mansion has become a popular tourist destination, drawing as many as 75,000 people each year.
In a public statement, Brian Jones has put his home up for sale.
On Monday, movie fan Brian Jones, who paid $150,000 for the property in 2004 via eBay, made public his intention to sell the house that was supposed to belong to Ralphie Parker.
He also stated that he will be selling the Bumpus House next door, the museum/gift shop across the street, and various additional lots in the area.
Jones has spent tens of thousands of dollars over the years bringing back the house and its surroundings to the way they looked in the 1983 film.
The home’s current owner has posted a “for sale” sign in the yard. In front of the house is a massive “For Sale” sign. Included with it is a “frageelay” leg lamp for the front windshield.
Jones, who is still the property’s owner, told 3News that they are “searching for the perfect buyer” after posting a “For Sale” sign in the yard. “Wow. It’s happening,” he said.
As a piece of Americana, “it’s an interesting property to not only own, but you also have to take care of,” he said. The road ahead looks exciting.

Even though it wasn’t a huge box office success when it was first released, A Christmas Story has become one of the most treasured holiday films of all time.
The film portrays the endearing story of Ralphie Parker, a young boy of nine, and his wish for Santa to bring him a Red Ryder BB rifle.
His holiday desire leads the Parker family on an adventure full of surprises and memorable lines that have become staples in pop culture.
