A close friend of Aaron Carter claimed that Aaron had an “obsession” with Nick Carter
Aaron Carter had an unhealthy “obsession” with his older brother Nick Carter and had been “crying out” for his love for years, a friend of the tragic star told sources.
Gary Madatyan, a longtime friend of the “I’m All About You” singer, said that Aaron talked a lot about fixing his relationship with the Backstreet Boys singer right up until his untimely death in a bathtub at his home on Saturday.
Madatyan also said that Aaron’s mental illness had caused a lot of stress in his relationships with his family and Melanie Martin, the woman he was going to marry. Still, he wanted to make up for the people he had hurt.
“As Aaron’s blood relative, I wish he could have done a little more,” Madatyan said of Nick. “I’m not judging him. I won’t say anything wrong about him because I like him. He is an outstanding artist. I love Aaron, but he was crazy about his brother.
He also said, “People who are mentally ill think differently. He poked and pushed to get their attention. Aaron did things to his brother that he should never have done, but this is about his mental health. He was pleading for help.

Even though they were no longer close, Aaron’s representative said that the siblings were “in a good place” before he was found unresponsive on Nov. 5 at his home in Lancaster, Calif. “In so many ways, he looked up to Nick.
“They were trying to make things better,” the singer’s representative said Monday. Madatyan also told us that he was worried when “new faces” started showing up in Aaron’s life over the past few months.
He said that the singer had been making new music and was trying to get his life in order so that he could get custody of his 11-month-old son, Prince. Madatyan said, “It just breaks my heart that no one was there for him.”
“People from all walks of life were pulling him out and taking advantage of his addiction and mental illness… They used his name to get more attention. “I told him, ‘Look, this isn’t good.
Let me help you. I love you so much and would do anything for you. Brother, this is not okay. Your life isn’t going in the right direction.'” Madatyan said that his friend was also concerned about how much money he had.
Damon Feldman, the CEO of Celebrity Boxing, said he talked to Aaron about the possibility of him getting in the ring to fight actor Andy Dick. Feldman told Page Six, “We talked about it two weeks ago, but he never got back to me.”
“He was like that. It breaks my heart that he’s gone. He was a big reason why Celebrity Boxing came back. After Aaron’s body was taken to be looked at by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner, Madatyan and Martin were allowed to look around the pop star’s home in Lancaster.
Madatyan said that when he looked through the whole house, he didn’t find any drugs or anything else that seemed odd, “except for the water in the tub.” It was strange water that was yellow. Aerosol cans were found inside the house, according to TMZ, but Madatyan said he didn’t see them.

Madatyan said that his best friend of 12 years had many plans and never mentioned hurting himself. Madatyan said, “Aaron loved life, and he would never have killed himself.”
Aaron, who was 34, was very honest about his drug use and mental health problems. In 2019, the singer went on the talk show “The Doctors” and said he took medicine for anxiety, manic depression, and having more than one personality.
In the same year, Aaron was ordered to stay away from his twin sister Angel and her boyfriend, Nick. Madatyan said that it hurt the singer a lot to be told to stay away from his family.”He would say, ‘Nick doesn’t want me to succeed because he hates me.'” said Madatyan.
“I told him, ‘I don’t think that. You might want to give it a shot and talk to him. He wanted to fix that relationship, but it was clear that he was very lonely. He kept going,
“He had already admitted to using drugs and having mental health problems, but no one came just to hold his hand. I’m not here to judge anyone, but if my brother had a mental illness, I would never get a restraining order against him.
He felt a lot of pain from that. Mental illness can’t be avoided.” Madatyan said he tried more than once to get him to move back to the Los Angeles area so he could help him manage his life, but there were “other influences” around him.

He said, “I would always give him a hug and tell him, ‘You’re not alone, Aaron.'” “But sometimes that wasn’t enough. I’m not mad at his family, but you know how much [Nick] meant to him.
When a blood relative helps, it means more to him than when a friend does the same. “I want people to know that they should never give up on someone who is having trouble with their mental health, because there may come a time when it’s too late.
I don’t want anyone to look back and wish they had done something they could have. That’s the worst feeling in the world.”
Page Six asked Nick’s representative for a comment, but they didn’t answer right away.
