What Happened to Willie Spence?
TMZ reported that Willie Spence was driving home from Atlanta when he died. According to a report from E! News, the 23-year-old died from injuries he received after his car crashed into a tractor-trailer on a Marion County highway.
Before his passing, Spence uploaded a video of himself singing in his car to his Instagram. Spence’s friend K Michelle confirmed the news of his death and uploaded a tribute message on social media.
She uploaded a carousel of photos and videos of the two spending time together, The caption of the Instagram post reads: Last May, Spence and Grace his Kinstler took the stage to appear on American Her Idol’s 20th-anniversary special called “The Great Idol Reunion.” A singer who specializes in gospel and big diva music. Since leaving the show, he has performed live at various concerts and reportedly also planned to record new music.

Willie Spence amassed a massive fan following worldwide after appearing on the 19th season of American Idol. He sang Diamonds by Rihanna during his audition and was accepted into the show by all three judges, including Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie.
