Apex Legends Season 13 Release Date Status, New Big Changes, Trailer Details, New Ranking System & More
Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts have released Apex Legends, a free-to-play battle royale-hero shooting game. It was published in February 2019 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, in March 2021 for Nintendo Switch, and in March 2022 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Apex Legends Mobile, a touchscreen-optimized mobile version of the game, has also been revealed, with a release date of 2022 for Android and iOS. The game is cross-platform compatible.
Players establish two- or three-player squads before the game and choose from pre-designed characters with unique skills known as “Legends.” There are two game modes in this game. Up to 20 three-person squads or 30 two-person duos descend on an island in “Battle Royale,” searching for weapons and supplies before attempting to battle all other players.
The island’s accessible play area diminishes with time, forcing players to keep moving or risk becoming trapped outside the play area, which can be deadly. The round is won by the last team standing. In “Arenas,” participants divide into three-player squads and compete in a 3v3 team deathmatch over a number of rounds to decide the match’s winner. When a team has at least 3 points and is 2 points ahead, they win.

Apex Legends Season 13 new Legend: Newcastle
With a new teaser, Apex Legends’ latest Legend is ready to take on the Arena and show off his various shielding skills. Apex Legends’ Savior season premiere teaser gives us our first look at Newcastle, along with some action-packed battles and a monstrous sea monster. The release date for Apex Legends: Savior has been confirmed for April 28.
Newcastle, a new legend, is shown to be Bangalore’s lost brother Jackson. The map that will receive a map upgrade will be Storm Point. In addition, Ranked will be modified.

Newcastle is shown in the clip employing the powers mentioned in the massive Apex Legends leak, implying that the leak concerning his skillset and position as a defensive character is correct. “The Hero of Harris Valley, Newcastle will need to safeguard his squadmates and secrets to survive the Apex Games,” Respawn explains on the Apex Legends website.
As shown in the teaser, Newcastle, his sister, and the rest of the Legends in the Arena face a battle against a large adversary midway through their match, which makes good use of Newcastle’s concentration on shields. Before Newcastle can shield everyone, a beast comes from the ocean and kills a number of Legends.
While this teaser suggests a lot of new features for Apex season 13, we won’t know for sure until Respawn provides more information when the season launches later this week.

What’s in the Apex Legends Season 13 Battle Pass?
A battle pass trailer will be released prior to launch, but for now, we can anticipate the typical assortment of themed skins, banners, voice lines, holo-sprays, soundtrack packs, and loading screens, as well as 1,200 Crafting Materials and 1,200 Apex Coins—enough to purchase the following season’s battle pass.
Apex Legends Season 13: Ranked rework
For a few seasons, Apex has modified and tinkered with its Ranked systems, but Season 13 appears to be the most significant change to the way competitive play in Apex works yet. While the specifics are yet unknown, it appears that you will no longer be shielded from de-ranking (under the current system, you can drop tiers within a rank, but will never fall below the bottom tier of your current rank).
The new method also promises to emphasize “Skill and Teamwork,” however how this is accomplished is unclear. Despite this, Apex live team support RSPN Pav tweeted that “big things” are on the way, and with only two weeks left in the currently ranked split, you’ll want to act quickly before any new changes jeopardize your position.
