Apex Legends Season 14 Release Date Status: New Heroes Updates, Trailer & How Long Is This Season?
The next season of Apex Legends is almost here. Here’s everything we know about the next major update, including the new Legend Vantage, changes to the Kings Canyon map, and more.
On May 10, Season 13 of Apex Legends came out with changes to the Storm Point map, Ranked Reloaded, and Newcastle as the Heroic Defender.
But now that the battle pass is almost over, it’s time to think about what comes next, and players are already guessing what Respawn has planned.
So, let’s look at what we know about Season 14 of Apex Legends and when we can expect it to start.
Apex Legends Season 14 release date
Season 14 of Apex Legends will begin on August 9, 2022, which is exactly three months after Saviors came to the Outlands.
Unless Respawn decides to change something, the new Season should last about 12 weeks, just like most of the others.
Season 3 was the only exception to this rule, as it was closer to five months long.
What will happen in Season 14 of Apex Legends?
The Season 14 character will be the new Legend Vantage, whose scout-style kit was shown in the big leak from Season 12.
With the new Stories from the Outlands episode, Respawn has confirmed the news.
Also, Respawn has confirmed that Kings Canyon will get map changes and come back for the new season. People think that Skull Town will come back as part of this.
Lastly, the developers have confirmed that the level cap will go up in the new season. This will be the first time since December 2020 that the level cap has gone up.
It does mean that the leaked “Moon” map is probably not going to be used in Season 14. Instead, changes will be made to the Kings Canyon map. The leaks about this map, though, show that it’s almost done, so it could be for Season 15.
Over the next few weeks, there will almost certainly be more hints, leaks, or even official announcements. We’ll be sure to update this article as soon as any new information comes out.
Apex Legends Season 14 Leaks
ThordanSmash, a person who makes content for Apex, says that the Season 14 update could change how controller aim assists works, which is great news for people who use a mouse and keyboard.
The change would make sense since Apex Legends’ balance designer, John Larson, said that changes are being made to aim to assist.

Recent rumors suggest that a new map set on the moon will be released, but it’s unlikely that it will come out in Season 14. Leaks have also been made about a possible Laser Sight attachment, but as always, take this information with a grain of salt.

Tomorrow, a new video of Stories from the Outlands comes out before Season 14 of Apex.
Fans of Apex Legends set your alarms. Tomorrow, a new episode of Stories from the Outlands will come out, and fans will probably get a better look at the next playable character in the battle royale.
Today, Respawn Entertainment tweeted a picture from the video along with the time and link for when it will be available. The description is short and sweet and doesn’t give away much: “The next Story from the Outlands will be posted tomorrow, July 25, at 8:00 a.m. PT.”
One of Apex’s video series, “Stories from the Outlands,” shows fans more about their favorite characters outside of the Apex Games. Before the start of each season, Respawn usually adds a new episode to show off the next playable character and give hints about what skills they’ll bring to the battle royale.
Tune in tomorrow, July 25, at 8:00 am PT for our next entry in Stories from the Outlands.

The tweet, image, and description of the YouTube video don’t tell us much else, but the image shows what looks like the silhouette of a woman surrounded by creatures that look like bats. Fans who can’t wait may be able to get a better idea of what’s coming because Respawn made a mistake yesterday that was briefly in the game.
Yesterday, fans of Apex noticed that the game’s client had a sneak peek at an upcoming Stories from the Outlands episode. It told fans when the next season would start and what it would be called. It also said that fans could learn more about the game’s next playable character by watching the “Survive” Stories from the Outlands video.
“There’s a new installment of the Stories from the Outlands! Watch Survive and meet the new Legend joining the Games in Apex Legends: Hunted, coming August 9!” the preview read.
The teaser woman resembled Vantage from a March leak. Other leaks from reliable data miners suggest the upcoming season would be safari-themed, which matches the preview’s name, “Hunted.”
Respawn posted diary-like writings from a little girl this week. They contained doodles of local fauna and the writer’s hunted animals. Apex developer published another lore audio recording yesterday. In the recording, a woman tips a man about “prisoner T0323” on Págos, an Apex universe planet. The man cuts off the radio transmission before the woman can collect her “Vantage” award.

These signs point to a figure dubbed Vantage, who was originally spotted in March leaks of nine new legends, five weapons, and two Heirlooms. Vantage was one of two characters with a model in the leak, the other being Newcastle, who later appeared in season 13. Both of the leaked Heirlooms later appeared in the game, causing many to believe the leaks were accurate.
In the leak, Vantage might teleport to a “winged companion” for her tactical. When she scoped foes with a long-range weapon or unarmed, her passive revealed details. Leaks reveal Vantage’s ultimate “marks” and scan enemies for her team. Repeated gunshots quadruple damage.
Tomorrow at 10 am CT, Stories from the Outlands will premiere for Apex enthusiasts. Apex’s season 13, Saviors, will end on Aug. 9, and the next season will likely begin soon after.
