According to reports, actor Kevin Conroy, 66, has passed away. He was most known for providing the voice of Batman in a number of animated series and video games.
With his first appearance in the character in the highly regarded Batman: The Animated Series from 1992, Conroy dedicated his voice to the Caped Crusader for a total of 30 years.
After that, he became a regular voice for Bruce Wayne, and Batman in various DC Animated Universe shows like The New Batman Adventures, Superman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, Justice League, and Justice League Unlimited, as well as the theatrically released animated film Batman: Mask Of The Phantasm.
Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero, Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, and Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman all featured him as the voice of Batman in animated form.
Conroy reprised the role of Batman in a wide range of mediums and guises after his original voice performances in the ’90s and ’00s.
In addition to voicing Batman in the Christopher Nolan-related animated film Batman: Gotham Knight (which takes place between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight) and the Batman Arkham video game trilogy, he also portrayed Bruce Wayne, a version of Batman from multiple dimensions, in the live-action ‘Crisis On Infinite Earths’ crossover event on The CW’s Arrowverse.

Recently, he voiced Batman in the Warner Bros. video game MultiVersus and the upcoming animated film Justice League vs. The Fatal Five.
Also included in this year’s DC Comics Pride anthology is a story titled “Finding Batman” by Conroy, who identifies as gay.
Conroy got his start in show business away from the mask and cape in 1981 with the Broadway production of Lolita and again in 1989 with Eastern Standard.
In the middle of the 1980s, he became known for his role as Bart Fallmont on the television series Dynasty.He recently voiced Mer-Man in Kevin Smith’s Masters of the Universe: Revelation.
He has made guest appearances in Smith’s Yoga Hosers and Jay & Silent Bob’s Super Groovy Cartoon Movie. But he was Batman, for the most part, appearing in 15 movies, hundreds of TV episodes, and thousands of conventions.
Casting director Andrea Romano said in a statement, “Kevin was far more than an actor whom I had the pleasure of casting and directing – he was a dear friend for 30+ years whose compassion and generous nature knew no boundaries.”

I will never forget Kevin’s generous spirit, infectious laughter, and unadulterated enthusiasm for life.
Mark Hamill, who frequently appeared alongside Conroy and provided the voice of Joker opposite him in several films, has also paid tribute to the actor.
According to him, Kevin was an ideal person. I considered him a brother because he was one of my most beloved human beings.
All of his actions were infused with compassion, as he genuinely valued the well-being of those around him. Whenever I was with him, I felt better.
The Batman he played was one of the best and most beloved versions of the character, and he will be sorely missed. Our hearts go out to his loved ones and his many devoted followers.
