Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez Attended Malibu Chili Cook-Off With Kids Emme and Max
At a special family celebration on Sunday, Ben Affleck, 50, and Jennifer Lopez, 53, seemed very much in love. The newlyweds walked hand in hand with Jennifer’s twins, Max and Emme, 14, as they attended the Malibu Chili Cook-Off in Malibu, California.
He donned a button-down shirt, tan slacks, and white sneakers, while she wore a flowy dress and red sandals; together, they made quite a fashion statement as they strolled among the other revellers in the park.
Emme, who was photographed in the background of the newlyweds, wore a black graphic t-shirt, blue shorts, and black and white sneakers. They wore spectacles as a fashion accessory as well. Jennifer, wearing her hair in a partial updo, carried a wicker purse while Ben topped off his outfit with sunglasses.
In the previous few months, Jennifer and Ben have celebrated two weddings and honeymoons, and her recent trip with her children follows on the heels of those celebrations. The couple had an intimate wedding in Georgia last month after initially eloping in Las Vegas in July.
Famous friends of Ben’s were there, too, such as Matt Damon, with whom he first found fame as a writer and star of the 1997 blockbuster Good Will Hunting. Jennifer elaborated on the wedding in her On The JLo newsletter to readers this week.

She confessed that “old wounds healed” when she and Ben rekindled their romance in 2021, said “I do” to each other, and listened to Marc Cohn, who surprised Ben at the ceremony, sing to them.
More than twenty years ago, in this very house, she and Ben discussed the suitability of Marc Cohn’s “True Companion” as a wedding love song, as she explained in the newsletter. Despite Ben’s ignorance, I requested the charming and generous Marc to sing it at our wedding, and he graciously accepted.
In contrast to popular belief, “True Companion” was not the first song he played as I made my way down the aisle.
