Acting Career
Early Hits and Establishment
The Bhojpuri film Humka Aisa Waisa Na Samjha (Don’t think that I’m riff-raff) (2006), where he played a youngster fighting to make Bhojpuri a recognised language in the state, marked the beginning of his acting career for him. Chalat Musafir Moh Liyo Re (The Traveller Has Been Ensnared) was his first film to be released, and he portrayed a police inspector with Kalpana Patowary and Sunil Chhaila Bihari in the supporting roles. Ho Gail Ba Pyar Odhaniya Waali Se was his third feature film (I have fallen in love with a girl wearing stole, 2007). After the release of this picture, he received a slew of offers. It was a huge success for his following picture, Nirahua Rikshawala, which was released in 2007. “Jublee Star” has been bestowed upon him following the success of his second film, Kahan Jaiba Raja Najariya Ladaike (2007). Lagal Raha Ae Rajaji was another big success for him in 2008. His natural acting style, thin build compared to other Bhojpuri actors of the day, and action skills learned from his early Karate training made him so popular with the crowd that even his failed films ran for almost three weeks before being pulled from theatres. In 2007 he also performed on stage in Fiji, Australia, and New Zealand.
With songs such as Pratigya (2008) and Pariwaar (2008) as well as Saat Saheliyan (2010) and Nirahua No. 1 (2009), he kept on churning out smashes (2011). “Dinesh Lal Yadav has lived up to his part,” Times of India remarked in a review of his film Aulaad (2011).
