For fans of the 2014 anime series Black Bullet, the question has lingered for years: will there be a season 2? Despite its popular reception, no second season has been announced. With the release of two light novel sequels in recent years, and a vocal fan base demanding more, there is hope that Black Bullet could yet see a second season.
Will there be a Season 2 of Black Bullet?
Season 2 of Black Bullet will never happen. Unfortunately, the anime adaptation of Black Bullet was not financially successful. The second season of this anime was never planned as a result. However, the greatest issue is that the author has abandoned this series. In the past seven years, no new Black Bullet volumes have been published.
The Black Bullet anime was not profitable. The average number of Blu-Ray sales is approximately 2,400, which is low for 2014, and there are only eighty pieces of merchandise and nine figures worth of inventory produced for this series. Also, the light novel used to sell approximately 30,000 copies per volume, which is not terrible but also not the best.
