Bret Michaels Is In The Hospital, So Poison’s Show In Nashville Is Cancelled.
Bret Michaels is getting care at a hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, before one of his shows.
The musician, who is 59 years old, wrote on Instagram that he was sorry he had to miss the show. “Thank you to all the wonderful fans in Nashville for your good wishes! I was excited to perform in Music City, but I couldn’t because of a medical problem that came up out of the blue and sent me to the hospital “He put words on paper. “I’m sorry that I won’t be able to rock the stage tonight!!! I’m working on getting back to 100%, and I hope you had a great time rocking out with my friends Motley/Leppard/Joan/Classes “Act!!!”
The lead singer of the rock band Poison was taken to the hospital on Thursday, just before his band was to play on a Stadium Tour with Def Leppard, Motley Crüe, and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts.
According to TMZ, several of Michaels’ bandmates went on stage during the show to tell the crowd that he was in the hospital and that they would not be able to play their set because of it. TMZ also said that Michaels may have been hospitalized because of a bad reaction to a drug he was taking. Because he has Type 1 diabetes, the drug may have caused unexpected side effects.
ET has asked Michaels’s representatives for their thoughts.
The Stadium Tour will still go on, with the next stop planned for Saturday in Florida. It’s not clear if the hospital stay will change the schedule of the tour.
