“Bridgerton” Season 3 Filming Has Officially Begun In London & Here All Details
Since the show based on Julia Quinn’s popular books came out on Netflix on Christmas Day in 2020, it has only gotten better, gaining one of the biggest audiences for a Netflix Original. We last saw Bridgerton in March 2022, but just a few months later, it was confirmed that season 3 of Bridgerton is now being made. Here’s what we know so far about season 3 of Bridgerton on Netflix.
In 2022, almost 950 million hours of Bridgerton were watched. This was almost as much as Stranger Things. When the second season came out, it was watched for a total of 656 million hours in the first 28 days. The rest of the time was spent by new viewers who binged the show and fans who watched it over and over again.
The Bridgerton franchise has a strong place on Netflix. It has been picked up for a third and fourth season, and the character of Queen Charlotte has her own show.
In 2018, Shonda Rhimes, who is in charge of making Bridgerton, signed a deal with Netflix. Even though it took two and a half years for Shondaland, the first show she produced, to come out on Netflix, the huge success of the show more than made up for the wait. Fans should be excited to see more of the world of Bridgerton and exciting new dramas in the near future, as there are many more projects in the works.

What is the current situation of season 3 of Bridgerton?
Thanks to the cast members of Bridgerton, it has been disclosed in a YouTube video uploaded by Netflix that filming has officially commenced.
Filming is likely to extend for the duration of the year and is scheduled to conclude by December 20th, 2022.
The Bridgerton cast and crew posted a new behind-the-scenes video to Instagram to commemorate the good news. The video opens with Jonathan Bailey—who plays Anthony Bridgerton—holding up two fingers before adding another one to commemorate the filming for season three.
“I spy the makings of a new social season. By the looks of things, it would seem the third installment of Bridgerton is officially underway.”
Many other cast members, such as Queen Charlotte’s Golda Rosheuvel, Eloise’s Claudia Jessie, Benedict’s Luke Thompson, and Lady Danbury’s Adjoa Andoh, also appear and perform the same gesture.
A horse-drawn carriage pulls up to Newton as the film comes to a finish. Coughlan is already inside when he opens the door.“Bridgerton season three filming has officially begun,” she says before asking her co-star, “You coming in?” He quickly replies, “Let’s go!” and enters the carriage.
According to a Netflix announcement made in May, the third season will center on the romance between Colin and Penelope. The third book in the series was planned to investigate Benedict Bridgerton’s love life, thus this change is a major departure. But, the streaming service decided to jump ahead and focus on Colin and Pen’s relationship instead.
When is the Bridgerton season 3 Netflix release date?
Season 3 of Bridgerton will not be available on Netflix until at least 2022. In 2023, the show will return to Netflix at some point, most likely in the summer or fall of that year.
The reason why we could be waiting till the Summer is due to the fact filming won’t conclude until the end of the year, and thereafter, production will proceed into post-production where all the magic of SFX and VFX take place.
It must be mentioned that the showrunner of season 2, Chris Van Dausen, has stepped down and has been replaced by Jess Brownell. In his role as executive producer, Van Dusen will remain with the project.
