After excelling as a standout athlete at Indianola High School, Brent Clark, the father of Caitlin Clark, attended Simpson College in Iowa to play baseball and basketball.“I see a lot of myself in Caitlin in terms of passion for the game,” he said to KCRG in February 2023.
“The games where the stakes are high are really nervous for me, but I am trying to work on being more supportive and positive,” Brent Clark said to the television station. She will look at the stands ever so often, and I try to give her some reassurance. I do the best that I can.”

Caitlin Clark’s Older Brother, Blake Clark
According to the university’s website, Caitlin Clarker’s older brother Blake Clark played quarterback for the Iowa State Cyclones after excelling as a quarterback at Dowling Catholic High School.
Blake Clark, an engineering major, held the field goal record for the Cyclones from 2019 to 2022. In 2019, he completed one pass as a freshman. Two years later, in 2022, he scored a two-point conversion.
“We were always involved in sports, and at home, we were always around sports,” Blake Clark said in an interview with the Cedar Rapids Gazette in 2021. We used to watch sports at night, whether it was basketball games at Drake, cousins playing hoops, or competitions; you have to do what you do when you’re around it so much.
“He knows the game really, really well,” Caitlin Clark told the publication. “I think that’s always something I can lean on him whenever I have a tough game or things aren’t going my way. He usually always watches if it’s on TV, or we have Big Ten+, and he pays to watch it, but I think he’s really honest, but I know it’s in my best interest.”
She added, “I basically talk to him every day, even if it’s not about football or basketball, we stay in touch a lot. Just seeing what’s going on in each other’s lives. He’s always someone I can lean on, even if it’s about school or just something in life; he’s always there for me.”
Clark’s Younger Brother, Colin Clark
Colin Clark, Clark’s younger brother, is a senior at Dowling Catholic. According to the school’s Twitter account, Colin Clark played basketball for Dowling, just like his older sister. In February, he graduated from Dowling High School.
