The well-known Irish actor Cillian Murphy, who is renowned for his gripping roles, is very close to his wife, Yvonne McGuinness.

The couple first became acquainted in the late 1990s while Murphy was playing the lead in a play called “Disco Pigs.” “It was probably the most significant time in my life, working on ‘Disco Pigs,'” he remarked in a 2016 interview with The Guardian. “The people I met there remain my closest friends … They shaped me in terms of my tastes, in terms of what I wanted to do with my life. And it was around the same time I met my wife.”
As per the article, McGuinness, an artist, embarked on a tour alongside the play’s actors, and they traveled for eighteen months. “It was so exciting, 20 years ago or whatever it was — we were all just kids, trying to find our way — but such a special, special time,” Murphy recalled. According to reports, the pair wed in 2004.

The couple indeed has two kids who are in their teenage years: Malachy, who was born in 2005, and Aran, who was born in 2007.
When Murphy was interviewed by the Guardian in 2016, he explained how his ambitions for the upbringing of his children were a contributing factor in his decision to relocate from London to Ireland.

Cillian Murphy and Yvonne McGuinness’s Relationship Timeline
Cillian and Yvonne first became together in the 1990s while he was working on a project called Disco Pigs, which was made into a movie in 2001.
Yvonne went on an 18-month tour with Cillian and his other Disco Pigs cast members shortly after they first met. She accompanied us on our tour.
In 2016, Murphy gushed to The Guardian, “It was such a special, special time. It was so exciting, 20 years ago or whatever it was — we were just kids, trying to find our way.”
The young couple finally got hitched in 2004 and had Malachy, their first child, the following year. 2007 saw the birth of Aran, their youngest child, two years later.
