When Will ‘Den Of Thieves 2: Pantera’ Release?
The official release date for the Den Of Thieves sequel has not yet been announced as of the time of this post. Butler indicated that production is planned to begin in Europe early next year, with the premiere scheduled for early next year. In February 2022, we received word from Deadline that the sequel is now scheduled to begin filming in Serbia and France in the late spring of that year. That indicates the sequel might be ready by the end of 2022 or the beginning of 2023. We’ll keep an eye out for any further developments.
What Will Be The Plot Of ‘Den Of Thieves 2: Pantera?’
It follows Nicholas “Big Nick” O’Brien (Butler), a courageous investigator with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, as he is on the run from a vicious gang of bank robbers in the city. A group of fearless criminals is on a mission to loot the Federal Reserve, and it is up to “Big Nick” to put them out of business.
Den Of Thieves’ main star Butler spoke to Entertainment Weekly in June 2020, and he disclosed that there have been fresh developments in the film’s development.
Taking place across many countries, from North America to Europe and the Marseilles diamond sector, Den of Thieves 2 will elevate the action to a new level.
Butler was cautious not to give away any more details, but he did assure us that we would still see Donnie (Jackson) and Lobbin’ Bob (Bridges) in the sequel, which is now in production.

Earlier this year, Den of Thieves director Christian Gudegast told Screen Rant that the sequel will be inspired on the Antwerp diamond trade robbery that occurred in 2003.
Following a diamond robbery gone bad, Donnie (Jackson) and the erstwhile Pink Panther gang will be on the run together with the police.
Nick O’Brien (Butler), who just relocated to Europe in order to escape his difficulties in Los Angeles, will pursue him.
Gerard Butler provided an update on the status of the sequel in September 2021, stating that the film will be a more “fun, sexy adventure” than the first.
In an interview with Collider, the actor stated, “We’re hoping to start shooting early next year.”
“We’re on our way to Europe, and we’re still on the lookout for Donnie, who’s now hiding out in Marseille’s diamond district. I head over to track him down, but my motivations are rather different from what you might expect. In any case, we’ll be in Marseilles, the Alps, and London – it’ll be a much more luxurious voyage than the last one, and it’ll certainly be a more enjoyable and romantic adventure as well.”

Gudegast has also announced that they would be casting new European actors for the sequel, following the deaths of numerous members of the original cast in the first film. We’ll have to wait for further clarification on this.
