Echo Disney Plus Release Date: Is There Any Trailer for Echo?
The first Marvel television series to air in 2024 will be Echo. Yes, the official release date for the Hawkeye spin-off series has been announced, and the wait will not be too long.
There are fewer than two months to go until we get our hands on the latest live-action TV show from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), thanks to the Disney Plus show sneaking onto the streaming giant in January.
There are a plethora of fresh facts worth reading about before Echo makes its long-awaited debut, which was initially intended to be out by now. Everything you need to know about the Marvel Phase 5 TV series is covered in this guide. Things like the entire trailer, confirmed cast, release date, plot summary, rumors, and more are all part of it.
Spoilers for Hawkeye, Echo’s first live-action role, are below. We also talk about major spoilers for her program.
Echo Disney Plus Release Date
On January 10, 2024, Echo will make its premiere, and all of the episodes will be released simultaneously on Disney+ and Hulu. (This is in contrast to other Marvel Studios programs, which have published new episodes every week following an initial run of two or three.)
Do you know where I can find Echo to stream?
You can watch Echo on both Disney+ and Hulu at the same time. January 10, 2024, will mark the release of the complete season, allowing you to see it all at once.
What is the Plot of Echo?
The next show, according to Marvel’s official description, will be streaming exclusively on Disney+.
It will retell the origin tale of Echo, which takes place in Maya Lopez’s hometown, when her vicious actions in New York City finally hit her. If she wants to move on, she has to accept her history, learn about her Native American heritage, and value family and community.
“Echo” Trailer by Marvel Studios
In addition to the premiere date, the first official teaser for Echo was also unveiled, and to everyone’s surprise, it confirmed that Echo will be the first Marvel Cinematic Universe TV series to be rated R.
Even in its just two minutes, there’s plenty to grab people’s interest. Wilson Fisk/Kingpin and Maya Lopez/Echo dish out some gratuitous violence, but there’s more! Daredevil makes a quick appearance, Maya has flashbacks to her childhood and what seems like her birth, and there’s a tense reunion between Maya and Fisk. Fisk is sporting an eye patch from when she shot him in Hawkeye’s last episode. If you want to know more about that, check out our page explaining the Hawkeye ending.
The Echo Cast by Marvel Studios: Confirmed and Rumored
What follows are major Hawkeye spoilers.
So far, the cast of Echo is:
- Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez/Echo
- Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin
- Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil
- Zahn McClarnon as William Lopez
- Chaske Spencer as TBA
- Graham Greene as TBA
- Tantoo Cardinal as TBA
- Devery Jacobs as Julie
- Cody Lightning as TBA
In her solo series, Cox reprises her role as Lopez/Echo, who made her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Hawkeye. In addition to her, McClarnon will be there; he portrayed William Lopez, Echo’s father, in Hawkeye, but he will only appear in flashbacks.
A former lynchpin of the Tracksuit Mafia, William, was revealed to be dead in Hawkeye. It is suspected that Clint Barton/Hawkeye, then posing as anti-hero Ronin, murdered him during the Blip, the time between Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
A comeback for D’Onofrio’s Fisk follows his own Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Hawkeye. After Maya’s father passed away, Fisk took her in and helped the deaf superhero become a formidable fighter for his vast criminal organization.
But in the Hawkeye series finale, Echo got right with her adoptive father by killing him in the face after learning that Fisk had ordered the murderous hit on William Lopez. We now know that Fisk survived, although his destiny was uncertain following that confrontation.
In this, Cox will add to his list of supporting roles, which already includes Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk, as Murdock/Daredevil. According to Daniel RPK, an industry insider, Daredevil will have a brief appearance in just two episodes (as reported by Taverna Marvel). In addition, the trailer establishes that Daredevil and Echo will engage in combat.
We have no idea who the majority of the supporting cast members are just yet. Even though they haven’t said who they’re playing, Marvel acknowledged in May 2022 that they had hired further actors.
On the other hand, “strong-willed and resilient” character Julie is supposedly played by Devery Jacobs (Reservation Dogs), according to Deadline. Additional character identities appear to have been disclosed in a US copyright filing (the screenshot was courtesy of Reddit).
They seem to corroborate that Graham Greene is playing a character named Skully, that Chaske Spencer is playing Henry, that Cody Lightning is playing Cousin Biscuits, and that Tantoo Cardinal is portraying Chula.
