Ewen MacIntosh, a comedian and actor best remembered for his role as Keith in The Office, passed away at the age of fifty. Just Right, the star’s management organization confirmed his passing on Monday. Although his cause of death is unknown, he had been ill for the previous two years.
They released a statement saying, “Ewen was a wonderful actor and an even better human being.” “He made people laugh and possessed such a kind heart. He touched the lives of all who came into contact with him.”
According to Just Right, although MacIntosh’s family had asked for solitude to grieve quietly, they were “heartened by” and grateful for “all the outpouring of love for Ewen.”
Creator and star of The Office, Ricky Gervais, paid tribute to MacIntosh on X, the former Twitter, calling her “an absolute original” and “very funny and very lovely.”

MacIntosh will “always be fondly remembered firstly as a great guy, but also as a key part of the greatest British sitcom of all time,” according to a note posted by the Office fan podcast Out Of Office. A remarkable legacy to leave behind. “RIP.”
Executive producer Ed Scott, who was friends with MacIntosh, posted a moving remembrance of the actor on social media, noting that while he was “known by millions as Keith from The Office, the person inside is what I will most remember.”
