Forbes’s Youngest Self-made Billionaire Woman Is Now Rihanna.
Rihanna doesn’t need to sing “Bitch Better Have My Money” anymore.
Forbes’ list of “America’s Richest Self-Made Women” for 2022 says that the 34-year-old singer is now the country’s youngest self-made billionaire woman. The Grammy Award winner Rihanna came in at No. 21 on the list with a net worth of $1.4 billion.
Rihanna has been on the list before. In 2020, she was 33rd on the list and had a net worth of $600 million.
Forbes says that Kylie Jenner used to be in this spot in 2019. E-News says that when Kylie Cosmetics CEO Kylie Jenner was 21, she signed a distribution deal with beauty store Ulta. This brought her estimated net worth to $900 million and made it look like she was a billionaire.
Forbes took Jenner’s title away in May 2020, though, after saying that she had lied on tax forms to get it.
Even though Rihanna is best known for being a multiplatinum recording artist, most of her huge wealth comes from selling cosmetics.
CNBC says that the CEO of Fenty Beauty and a co-owner of Fenty Skin also has a 30% stake in her Savage x Fenty lingerie line. Bloomberg said in March 2022 that the lingerie company was working on an initial public offering (IPO) that could make it worth $3 billion.
Rihanna told T Magazine of The New York Times in 2019: “My money is not for me; it’s always the thought that I can help someone else.” “The world can make you think that the wrong things are important, and it can make you lose sight of what life is all about and what it means to be alive.”
Jenner is still the youngest person on the list at 24, but she is now No. 41 with $600 million. Rihanna is the only woman under 40 who is a billionaire right now. She is also the first billionaire from her home country of Barbados, where she always wanted to be famous.
Fans will be happy to hear that she’s making new music.
She told Vogue earlier this year, “I’m looking at my next project in a completely different way than I did before.” “I think this way works much better for me. It’s real, it’ll be fun for me, and it relieves a lot of stress.” Rihanna’s latest success came just a few weeks after she had a son.
