Former WWE Wrestler Sara Lee Has Passed Away At The Age Of 30; All You Need To Know
Sara Lee, a former WWE wrestler and the 2015 winner of the reality show Tough Enough, has passed away. She was 30.
Her mother posted on Facebook that Sara Lee had passed away, “We are all in shock and arrangements are not complete. We ask that you respectfully let our family mourn.” Additionally, she requested prayers for Lee’s husband and their kids.
There was no mention of Lee’s cause of death. She shared a selfie on Instagram on Tuesday with the message, “celebrating finally being healthy enough to go to the gym 2 days in a row,” adding, “First ever sinus infection kicked my butt.”
Lee participated in the WWE reality series Tough Enough’s sixth season, which featured wrestlers vying for contracts with the promotion. She received a one-year, $250,000 contract after winning a fan poll, and she wrestled for WWE until her departure in 2016.
She had three children with fellow wrestler Wesley Blake, whose actual name is Cory James Weston, to whom she was married.
Her fellow wrestlers paid tribute to her, with Saraya, who once competed for WWE under the ring name Page, remembering Lee as a “sweet human who I got the pleasure to know and work with” and calling her death “heartbreakingly tragic.”
Wrestler Chelsea Green also tweeted that “no tweet or amount of words can bring back this beautiful human,” adding that she “will be missed greatly.” WWE said that Lee was an “inspiration to many in the sports-entertainment world,” offering “heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and fans.”
