Funke Akindele, a well-known actress in Nollywood, didn’t say anything Thursday after her husband, Abdulrasheed Bello, also known as JJC Skillz, said that they had broken up.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, Bello confirmed that he and the actress were no longer together. He also said that things had not been going well between them for the past two years and that all of their attempts to work things out had failed.
In the post, which was shared on Instagram by Instablog9ja, Bello said that his wife told him he had to leave their marital home, even though they were no longer together.
The post said, “Dear family and friends, I need to tell you that Funke and I have broken up. We did a lot of things together and had two beautiful children while we were together. We’ve had a very hard time over the past two years.
“I know I’ve done everything I can to fix things, but I think it’s too late now. I moved out of the house three months ago because Funke told me to. We haven’t been able to talk about the future of our relationship except at AMVCA.
The couple got married on August 23, 2016, and two years later, they had twins.
The PUNCH says that people thought that the couple’s marriage was in trouble in April. The rumor died down, though, when JJC posted a message of support for his wife on Instagram.
We tried to talk to Akindele, but nothing good came out of it.
