A spokesperson for Elvis Presley confirmed her death to Insider in a statement. The statement from Presley’s representative said:
“Priscilla Presley and the Presley family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Lisa Marie. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love, and prayers of everyone and ask for privacy during this challenging time.”
According to a Facebook post by his mother, Priscilla Presley, Presley was “rushed” to the hospital earlier that day.
TMZ reports that paramedics were dispatched to her home in Calabasas after getting a call that she was experiencing cardiac arrest. She reportedly underwent CPR and epinephrine at the scene to recover her pulse. On Tuesday, Presley made her final public appearance at the 80th Annual Golden Globe Awards, where actor Austin Butler won best actor for portraying her father in Baz Luhrmann’s 2022 Elvis biopic.
