Jake Shane’s Biography
On October 27, 1999, Shane was born in the United States. He is seeing another TikTok celebrity, Julia Mervis. But there’s nothing on the internet regarding his grandparents or his extended relatives. In all of his interviews and videos, he has never once acknowledged them.
But Shane’s heritage is probably Jewish-American, given his parents’ names and histories. Olen is his mother’s maiden name; it’s a common Jewish surname of Polish descent. Roshkow, another Jewish surname of Russian descent, is his father’s surname.

In February 2023, Jake, then 23 years old, shot to prominence after he uploaded a video of himself pretending to be former president Bill Clinton, angrily denying any involvement with Monica Lewinsky.
Five days after the video received two million views, Octupusslover8 got one million followers. After that, he kept acting out historical moments, mainly mimicking the comments found beneath his TikTok videos. He now has more than 2.4 million followers as of September.
Jake talked about his initial feelings following his enormous rise to prominence in an April 2023 interview with GQ.
“I was loving it,” Jake said on his first viral video. “When it happens, at first, you’re not thinking, All right, well, I’m going to be a TikTok star now. You just think it’s fun. You don’t think anything is going to happen. So, I started posting on TikTok 10 to 20 times a day, anything I could think of. I would just grab my phone, be like, ‘Dududu, post’ and put it down … Slowly, slowly, slowly, it started climbing.”
The TikToker has collaborated on videos with other content creators like Charli D’Amelio, Alix Earle, and the Jonas Brothers since he rose to fame. In 2022, Jake earned his degree from The University of South Carolina.
