Wiseman is still on track to make his Summer League debut
James Wiseman finally returned to the court on a Sunday afternoon in Las Vegas after a lengthy absence. After waiting since April 2021, Wiseman finally got to suit up for the Golden State Warriors Summer League squad at the Thomas & Mack Center.
Wiseman played his first game since tearing the meniscus in his right knee, though the Summer League doesn’t count for much. You can find more information about the player and the incident.

What Happened to the Player?
The Warriors announced that James Wiseman had missed two games due to a sprained ankle he sustained in a scrimmage last week. In one (1) week, he will have another evaluation. It’s good news for Wiseman and the Warriors that the young center’s ankle injury doesn’t look to be too severe. Even though James Wiseman will be out for at least the next three games, it’s encouraging to note that the Warriors plan to reevaluate him after a week of rest and recovery and clear him to return to basketball activity.

Sources claim that Wiseman’s rookie year was cut short by a ruptured right meniscus in April of 2021, and this game marked his first significant game action since then. He played for a little under 20 minutes. He was sidelined for the whole 2017–18 season with the Warriors due to postoperative problems. Thus he has been eagerly anticipating his return. Wiseman saw action for the Warriors for four minutes to open each quarter and then again for the last three minutes and fifty-two seconds.
