Jim Brown Playing Career
Despite his considerable talent in a variety of sports, Brown chose to play in the NFL. During the 1957 NFL draft, he was chosen by the Cleveland Browns. He promptly demonstrated his ability, rushing for 237 yards against the Los Angeles Rams. He had beaten the single-season rushing record with 1,527 yards by 1958.
