On February 17, 1964, Jim Daniel Jordan was born in Urbana, Ohio. John Jordan and Shirley are his parents. He had a 156-1 record while wrestling at Graham High School, where he won four straight state titles.
He obtained his JD from Capital University, his MA from Ohio State University, and his degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. From January 1995 to December 2000, Jordan represented the 85th district in the Ohio House of Representatives. He represented the 12th district in the Ohio Senate from January 2001 to December 2006.
