Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 Release Date:
MAPPA has stated that they would return as the animation studio in charge of JUJUTSU KAISEN’s second season, which will be broadcast on Japanese TV in 2023 with no launch date set as of yet.
If we had to wager, we’d think a release in the fall of 2023 is most likely. Not only did the first season premiere within the Fall window, but the animation studio MAPPA also put time towards the upcoming Chainsaw Man and Jujutsu Kaisen 0. Any studio would find that to be a demanding timetable, but they would have until October 2023 and beyond to produce a second season that meets their impossibly high standards.
Where can I watch Jujutsu Kaisen before season 2?
All 24 episodes of the first season of Jujutsu Kaisen are presently streaming on Crunchyroll if you need to catch up before season 2. Due to the recent merger with Funimation, expect to be able to view Jujutsu Kaisen season 2, Demon Slayer season 3, and other popular anime exclusively on the streaming site as well.
Jujutsu Kaisen season About:
All living things in Jujutsu Kaisen emit energy called Cursed Energy, which results from unfavorable emotions that are constantly flowing through the body. This bodily flow is uncontrollable for most people. They thus continue to lose Cursed Energy, giving rise to Curses, a race of spiritual creatures whose main motivation is to destroy mankind. These curses are shown as horrifying creatures.
Jujutsu Sorcerers are those who have mastered the art of controlling the flow of Cursed Energy within their bodies, enabling them to both increase and decrease its discharge. This energy may be refined by powerful sorcerers and curses, who can then employ it to carry out Cursed Techniques that are often exclusive to the individual or their family. Domain Expansion is an advanced Cursed Technique that allows the user to employ Cursed Energy to create a pocket dimension that encompasses the surrounding region and makes all attacks stronger inside of it.
Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 story: What could happen?
The Death Painting Arc, which takes place between chapters 55 and 64 of the manga, marked the conclusion of Jujutsu Kaisen’s first season. Assuming the anime follows the chronology of the manga, season two will likely begin with Gojo’s Past Arc, which spans chapters 65–79.
We wouldn’t be shocked, though, if future episodes included these flashbacks with the manga’s upcoming big story arc, the Shibuya Incident from chapters 79–136. That indicates that season two will deal with some significant character changes as well as the identity of the mole now hiding out in Jujutsu High, without giving away too much.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0’s post-credits sequence also made a suggestion that Yuta would soon show up, which sounds fantastic in principle but, well, it doesn’t seem good for Yuji.
