On October 26, 1967, Urban was born in Whangārei, New Zealand. Robert “Bob” Urbahn (Urbański) and Marienne are the parents of the youngest boy. Urban and his parents relocated to Caboolture, Queensland, Australia when he was two years old.

Keith Urban’s Career
Urban signed with EMI Australia in 1990 and released his self-titled debut album. He appeared on the 1990 compilation album Breaking Ground – New Directions in Country Music, a 1991 ARIA Award nominee for Best Country Album.
In 1993 and 1994, he backed Slim Dusty on tour. An updated duet of Dusty’s “Lights on the Hill” was recorded in the mid-1990s. Urban debuted at the Grand Ole Opry, backing Dusty. He contributed background vocals on INXS’ 1991 “Shining Star”.
