Kings of Jo’burg Season 2 Plot
According to Netflix’s official plot summary, The Masire brothers rule Johannesburg’s criminal underworld, but a supernatural family curse and a tangled web of betrayal threaten to destroy them.” For the second season, Collider emphasized that there is little room for error, something significant is on the horizon, and the Masire brothers are running out of time. The teaser depicts two men digging what appears to be a grave in the dead of night in the middle of nowhere, with their voices somber and menacing in the background.
Mogomotsi “Mo” Masire (Zolisa Xaluva) endures sleepless nights because recollections of a lost past haunt his dreams. The first supernatural peril seen by the Masire is a young man standing with his eyes flashing light blue. In addition, we see scenes of a confrontation in a garage, two frightening stares, a woman leaning into a car through its window, and other disturbing pictures. Mo is exhausted and seated in a car when a voice instructs us to “keep nothing back.”
Mo is oblivious to the fact that he no longer rules the streets, while being under a great deal of emotional strain and under the careful eye of the law. “Masire is preparing to act,” a voice says. Obviously, he is. You cannot attain such heights by thrusting out your neck. There is a standoff beneath a bridge, but then we see the cowries, voodoo, and dark magic performed by a woman concealed behind beaded curtains.
