Fans of the hit series, Mayfair Witches, rejoice! The show has been renewed for a second season. After months of speculation and anticipation, it has been officially confirmed that viewers will experience more supernatural adventures. Season two will bring back all the same characters from season one but with some exciting new additions. With a more extensive cast and an extended storyline, season two promises to be even better than the first.
‘Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches’ Renewed for Season 2
AMC Networks announced that the hit series Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches had been renewed for a second season. Mayfair Witches, the second series in the expanding Anne Rice Immortal Universe on AMC and AMC+, dethroned Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire as the most-watched new series premiere in AMC+’s history and debuted to solid ratings on AMC last month.

The second season is slated to begin filming in New Orleans later this year.

Esta Spalding, showrunner and executive producer of Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches, described “Lives of the Mayfair Witches” as a great epic story that has only just begun to be explored.

Based on Rice’s best-selling trilogy, The eight-part series follows Rowan Fielding (Alexandra Daddario), a perceptive young neurosurgeon who discovers she is the odd heir to a dynasty of witches. She must battle an evil entity that has tormented her family for generations while she struggles with her newfound skills. Each Sunday at 9 p.m., AMC airs new episodes available on AMC+ three days in advance.

Mayfair Witches Season 2 Expected Cast
In addition to Emmy-nominated protagonist Daddario, Jack Huston plays Lasher, Tongayi Chirisa plays Ciprien Grieve, and Harry Hamlin plays Cortland Mayfair in Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches. AMC Studios produces the series, which is executive produced by Mark Johnson, Showrunner Esta Spalding, Writer Michelle Ashford, Director Michael Uppendahl, and Jeff Freilich.
