The Change.org petition gained traction after the controversial season 4 reunion special, garnering over 40,000 signatures. However, ET has confirmed that the Lacheys will retain their co-hosting roles on the show.

Contrary to rumors circulating online, season 1 fan-favorite couple Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton are not being considered to replace the Lacheys in any capacity.

What Sparked The Controversy?

The Change.org petition emerged after Vanessa Lachey faced criticism for her persistent questioning of contestants’ plans for parenthood during the reunion special. Contestant Paul Peden expressed his frustration with Vanessa’s line of questioning, suggesting that she may have had a personal bias.

Paul shared with ET following the taping, “I was like, ‘F**k, man.’ They kept drilling, drilling it down on me. I think I said my piece. I think Vanessa might have had a little bit of personal bias in that scenario or at least I kind of detected that. I don’t know. But that’s just my assumption based on how she continued to drill into it after I gave my full rationale for why I felt the way that I did.”

Despite the criticism, other Love Is Blind alumni have come to the Lacheys’ defense. On their podcast, Out of the Pods, contestants Deepti Vempati and Natalie Lee shared their perspective on the Lacheys’ role in the show, referring to them as mentors who provided advice during the filming process.
