According to Sports Illustrated, Terry and Nick co-founded the Nick’s Kids Foundation “to help children, student, and teacher causes in the State of Alabama.”
With Terry highlighting in an official statement that she would for the Saban legacy to be all about “helping others,” they seek to positively impact people’s lives.

Terry, who has been married for more than 50 years, has supported Nick over his successful career, which has included six national titles, a 206–29 overall record with Alabama, and a 2003 championship with Louisiana State University.

Terry and her husband were both born in Fairmont, West Virginia. Nick remembered that even though he was interested in her, she wasn’t into him when they first met in the seventh grade. Nick claimed that Terry finally noticed him in high school.
