The second half of Ozark’s final season is expected to answer
Following the shocking events of the first half of Ozark season 4, part 2 will pick up right where we left off. Following Omar Navarro’s incarceration, his nephew Javi has stepped in to take over the drug cartel. To take out the heroin operation run by Darlene Snell and her husband, Wyatt Langmore, he murders them in one of his first acts. Ruth, enraged, threatens the Byrdes with a shotgun, demanding to know who murdered her parents. When Jonah informs her that it was Javi who had done it, she vows to exact vengeance on her business partner and cousin.
The second half of Ozark’s final season is expected to answer a number of unanswered questions, including:
- Where will Ruth go in her quest for vengeance — and will she be able to survive taking on the cartel — is anyone’s guess.
- Darlene’s position as a crime boss in the Ozarks will be filled by either her or someone else.
What is the true agenda of the mysterious private investigator Mel Stattem, and what is he up to? - Will Jonah be able to avenge the death of his uncle Ben? How much more will he defy his parents before he breaks free? What level of involvement does Charlotte have in the family business?
- Will Wendy’s many sins doom the Byrde Foundation to failure, or will it be able to take off and succeed?
- To wrap things up, who is involved in the catastrophic car crash that was hinted at in the first episode of season 4? Is it possible for any of the Byrdes to perish?
Ozark season 4 part 2 Trailer
The full trailer for season 4 part 1 was released on January 6 – and it was jam-packed with goodies to pique our interest in what’s to come in the next few episodes.
According to new information, the tagline “your greatest threat will always come from within” – which Navarro informs Marty about – is a reference to his nephew Javi, who has plans to take action against him. It is possible, however, that this is a foreshadowing of another, even more serious, betrayal from within the Byrde family.
Because of the murder of his uncle Ben, we know that Jonah’s relationship with his parents has been strained to an extreme degree. His resentment has caused him to push them away – particularly Wendy – and to act irrationally towards them. How far is he willing to go in order to exact revenge for his grief-induced resentment?
The existence of a part-two trailer is unknown, but if one is released, it will undoubtedly contain a slew of cryptic clues that may point the way to an answer.
