Modern technology gives us many things.

Producer of ‘House of the Dragon’ Is Oblivious About Daemon’s Being an ‘Online Sweetheart’

The ninth episode of the HBO fantasy series ‘House of the Dragon‘ was the subject of an interview with showrunner/executive producer Sara Hess and director Clare Kilner, published in The Hollywood Reporter.

Daemon Targaryen, the antagonist of “House of the Dragon,” has recently become a viral sensation. Also, the makers do not know why.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Sarah Hess thinks the overwhelming support for Daemon online is inexplicable. For reasons that escape me, he is becoming an Internet Boyfriend,” Hess stated.

It is not that Matt is not very personable and excellent; he is just fantastic in part. But Daemon by himself is… I do not want him as a partner! However, the web seems to differ…

One of the show’s best parts is Matt Smith‘s portrayal of the villainous Daemon Targaryen. But he is not the ideal companion. While he may have recently defended Rhaenyra, his current wife, he killed his first wife for no reason other than it was more convenient.
Brutal.

“Oh, daddy!” they all exclaim, which has Hess scratching his head. “All I can say is, ‘Really?’ Just how, exactly, was he a good companion, parent, or sibling to anyone? I see what you are doing. “He is no Paul Rudd,” or “He is not Paul Rudd.”

Fans of Game of Thrones have been captivated by Daemon ever since he first appeared, and for some, that fascination has only grown as Daemon has taken increasingly questionable activities. And her coworker, Clare Kilner, who is also a producer, understands to an extent.

The fact that viewers may relate to the protagonists is “part of the fun,” she remarked. The person you like today may not be the person you want tomorrow.

I am not shocked, though. You can not help but be charmed by Matt because he takes such calculated risks in his performances and always has that infectious grin.

His charisma is undeniable. Everyone enjoys the company of a villain. But I do not think he makes a charming brother or father. But it seems like the upcoming season finale of Daemon might be a little… taxing on fans.

After this, “we will see a different side of him,” Hess said. We are now working on Season 2 of the show and trying to answer the question, “What is the nature of his relationship with Rhaenyra?” That can be interpreted in various ways [in George R.R. Martin’s book Fire & Blood].
