Fans can get ready for Grim and his army of drones to arrive on schedule, so there is no need to worry about any last-minute setbacks.
Release date and maintenance schedule for the next season of Rainbow Six Siege
Ubisoft has announced that Tuesday, September 6, 2022, is the release date for Rainbow Six Siege: Operation Brutal Swarm. Depending on your preferred platform, the new Year 7 Season 3 update will be made available for download at different times. Ubisoft announced that the next season of Rainbow Six Siege would launch for PC at 7 am PDT (10 am EDT), 3 pm BST. The third season of Year 7 will then launch on Xbox at 8 a.m. PDT / 11 a.m. EDT / 4 p.m. BST and on PlayStation at 9 a.m. PDT / 12 p.m. EDT / 5 p.m. BST.
The latest patch is likely to be over 30gbs to download, with some systems requiring a more giant patch. There will be an hour of downtime across all platforms before the new version is released. According to a new statement from the R6 development team, Ubisoft has clarified why the increased file sizes are necessary for the long run: “A more extensive download will be required for Y7S3 due to data consolidation. This will speed up load times for players and conserve space on their hard drives. We will launch Operation Brutal Swarm on September 6th.

Time out: one hour per system. As previously announced, Grim, an operator from Singapore who can provide teams with a particular skill, will be added to Rainbow Six Siege in Year 7, Season 3. His unique Kawan Hive Launcher is invaluable when pinpointing the location of the adversary, and he is a master in recon, intelligence collection, and survival skills.
The new attacker will be armed with a shotgun, a handgun, and the aforementioned Kawan Hive Launcher, which launches a projectile containing a swarm of bots that track the location of opponents that walk through it. The Impact EMP Grenade, a new throwable weapon that explodes on impact to deactivate adjacent electronic equipment for a limited period of time, will also be introduced as a permanent map as part of Operation Brutal Swarm.
When will we see Season 3 of Rainbow Six Siege?
So far, not even the title of Season 3 of Year 7 is known. We do not know much about the event or arcade mode yet, but they are somewhere. Furthermore, the reputation system will enter its improved second generation. A new competitive map was also planned. However, its release has been postponed. In its new form, it will debut during Season 4.
According to Creative Director Alexander Karpazis, “This will give [Singapore] more time and more love to make it bigger and bolder than any map you’ve seen before in Rainbow Six Siege,”

Will there be a new controller in the third season of Year 7?
Until Ubisoft makes the announcement, the next carrier is a mystery. But there have been rumors that a Singaporean op by the name of Grim is responsible for the disclosures. Although details on Grim are sketchy at best, rumors have claimed that he will serve as a defender who holds back and uses a swarm of nanobots to guard areas.
