Raye’s Career
Raye released her first extended play, Welcome to the Winter, at 17 in December 2014. Raye released “Flowers” in February 2015 and “Alien” in April 2015, featuring Avelino from London.
Raye released Second, her second EP, in August 2016. The extended play was preceded by promotional songs “Distraction” and “Ambition” (with Stormzy). “I, U, Us” was the EP’s lead single in October 2016.
British musician Charli XCX directed a video. November 2016 saw the release of a “Shhh” live performance video. Raye appeared on Jonas Blue’s “By Your Side”. The October 2016 release reached number 15 on the UK Singles Chart.
