Resident Evil: Release Date, Cast And Trailer For Netflix Live-Action Series
Netflix’s new Resident Evil series breathes new life into Capcom’s long-running game series. There have been seven of his Resident Evil movies in the last 20 years, including Welcome to Raccoon City, called the 2021 reboot.
But the new Netflix series is going in a different direction, following Jade and Billy Wesker in his two timelines during his teenage years and adulthood. The show begins in the futuristic timeline of 2036, with an adult Jade struggling to survive in a world overrun by virus-infected monsters that happened to the Umbrella Corporation and her sister.
John Wick and The Wire actor Lance Reddick plays Albert Wesker, one of the main antagonists of the original video game series, alongside Artemis Fowl’s Tamara Smart and Charlie’s Angels star Ella. Resident Evil Netflix Release Date
All eight episodes of Resident Evil landed on 14th July 2022 on Netflix.

Who’s in the Resident Evil cast on Netflix?
Resident Evil has confirmed that Lance Reddick will be appearing as Albert Wesker, one of the main characters in the original video game series. He is joined by Tamara Smart and Ella Balinska, who play younger and older versions of Wesker’s daughter Jade.
Adeline Rudolph, Sienna Agdon, Paola Nunez, Ahad Raza Mir, Conor Gosatti and Taro Conbery complete the cast in roles that have yet to be revealed. Meanwhile, Supernatural writer Andrew Dove will serve as showrunner, while The Walking Dead director Bronwen Hughes will produce and direct his first two episodes.
Resident Evil’s first season will consist of his eight episodes, each about an hour long. Dabb says: We are very excited to tell this new chapter in this great story and bring the first Resident Evil series to his Netflix members around the world.
“For all types of Resident Evil fans, including Resident Evil newcomers, the series will be complete with many old friends and things people have never seen before (gory and crazy).”

A previous trailer for the live-action series made clear that the show will follow Jade through two timelines.
The first will be set in 2022 in the futuristic New Racoon City, while the second timeline will be set 14 years later, in 2036, following Jade as she tries to overcome armies of bloodthirsty zombies.
