Alexi Hawley developed the American police procedural crime drama television series The Rookie for ABC. The story follows John Nolan, a man in his forties who joins the Los Angeles Police Department as the department’s oldest rookie. The show is created by ABC Studios and Entertainment One, and it is based on real-life LAPD officer William Norcross, who came to the city in 2015 and joined the force in his mid-40s.
Nathan Fillion, Alyssa Diaz, Richard T. Jones, Titus Makin Jr., Melissa O’Neil, Afton Williamson, Mekia Cox, Shawn Ashmore, and Eric Winter feature in the series. On October 16, 2018, The Rookie made its debut. The inaugural season lasted till the 16th of April, 2019. From September 29, 2019, through May 10, 2020, the second season aired. From January 3 until May 16, 2021, the third season aired. The series was revived for a fourth season in May 2021, and it debuted on September 26, 2021. In February 2022, a pilot for an FBI spin-off was ordered. The series was extended for a fifth season in March 2022.

Raphael Sbarge, an actor, director, and producer from the United States, was born on February 12, 1964. His mother, Jeanne Button, was a talented costume designer. His father, Stephen Sbarge, was an artist, writer, and theatre director who named his son Raphael after the Renaissance painter Raphael. His parents had divorced. He is most known for his roles as Archie Hopper/Jiminy Cricket in Once Upon a Time and Kaidan Alenko in the Mass Effect trilogy. From 2014 to 2016, he starred as Inspector David Molk in the TNT series Murder in the First.
Sbarge’s film credits include Risky Business (1983), My Man Adam (1985), Carnosaur (1993), The Hidden II (1993), Independence Day (1996), BASEketball (1998), Pearl Harbor (2001), Home Room (2002), and The Duel (2015). He has also voiced characters in video games, including Carth Onasi in Grim Fandango, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords; RC-1262 “Scorch” in Star Wars: Republic Commando; and Kaidan Alenko in the Mass Effect series. Sbarge’s documentary LA Foodways was nominated for an Emmy Award in the category of Education/Information in 2019.
