Shadowlands Season 4 release date
Blizzard has confirmed that WoW Shadowlands Season 4 will start on August 2, 2022, after server maintenance that will take several hours and make the game unplayable. About 24 hours before this time, Season 3 will end, and fans will have to finish any unfinished tasks before a new update comes out.
Warcraft Season 4 is called experimental by Blizzard, which makes sense when you look at the changes that are planned. Also, once the season is over, you won’t be able to get PvP seasonal rewards, titles, or Shadowlands Season 3 rankings anymore.
Season 4 will be different when it comes out next month. Blizzard has confirmed that you will be able to unlock a higher level of PvP gear along with other Season rewards like mounts and titles. Blizzard is making Eternal Gladiator the highest-ranking title, and they plan to make other changes to Mythic+ as well.
Shadowlands Season 3 ends the week of August 2.

This includes making the Mythic+ dungeon pool bigger so that it can hold eight dungeons from the last four expansions of WoW, such as: Operation Mechagon: Junkyard, Operation Mechagon: Workshop, So’leah’s Gambit: Streets of Wonder, So’leah’s Gambit: So’leah’s Gambit: So’leah’s Gambit: Two dungeons from Warlords of Draenor are Return to Karazhan: Lower and Return to Karazhan: Upper.
Other changes for World of Warcraft have also been announced recently. For example, the amount of content that will be added in the future will grow. It’s not clear if these changes will affect how Season 4 is released, but it looks like more teams will be working on World of Warcraft in the future.
In a message, Blizzard says, “To help meet our growing need for content, we’ve been working with Proletariat, a great development partner, since May. In 2012, people who had worked at Turbine, Harmonix, Zynga, and Insomniac started Proletariat. Their strong leadership team has worked together for a long time and has a strong presence in Boston, where they are based. They have a lot of MMO experience from working on Asheron’s Call, Lord of the Rings Online, and D&D Online.
We’re excited to officially welcome @Proletariat_inc to @Warcraft! There is a bright future ahead for Azeroth: joining forces to increase content for players is just a first step! In the murloc's utterance of friendship, I say to you all….Mmmrrglllm! https://t.co/NF6YdM2vac

Old dungeons will join the Mythic+ pool
For Mythic+ dungeons, a new season means a new seasonal affix that you need to learn and get used to. But with Shadowlands Season 4, the dungeons will change to include instances from the last four expansions, all the way back to Warlords of Draenor.
Six of the dungeons were announced at first, and the last two War of the Draenei dungeons were chosen by a vote (opens in new tab). Now that the poll is over, it looks like the Shadowlands season 4 dungeon lineup will be:
- Tazavesh: Streets of Wonder (Shadowlands)
- Tazavesh: So’leah’s Gambit (Shadowlands)
- Operation Mechagon: Junkyard (Battle for Azeroth)
- Operation Mechagon: Workshop (Battle for Azeroth)
- Return to Karazhan: Lower (Legion)
- Return to Karazhan: Upper (Legion)
- Grimrail Depot (Warlords of Draenor)
- Iron Docks (Warlords of Draenor)
In Season 4, there will also be accessibility options that let you turn off the moving environments in Grimrail Depot and the Maw of Souls dungeon.
