Richard Shannon Hoon was a singer-songwriter and musician from the United States. He was the frontman for the band Blind Melon. However, he abruptly left us in 1995. One of his fans has a question about his daughter. So, in this post, you will find all of his family’s information.
Who is Shannon Hoon’s Daughter?
Shannon Hoon and his girlfriend Lisa Crouse have a daughter named Nico Blue. Her birthday is July 11, 1995. Nico was just three months old when her father died. She is currently a self-employed musician who aspires to follow in her father’s musical footsteps.
The clearest illustration of this is when she plays “Change,” Shannon’s very first song. Nico will be 28 years old on July 12, 2023. You may see a video from her 2019 birthday on Blind Melon’s Facebook page.
As seen in the post below, Nico advertised the documentary on her father in 2020:

Nico is one of many people who have spoken out against racism having no place in society in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death at the hands of the Minneapolis Police Department. She wrote on Instagram, “blackouttuesday.”

Nico appears to be seeking to establish herself in the music world, as her father did. She clearly has the voice talent for it, and she looks to be dedicated to her objective.
Nico appears to have maintained a positive relationship with her mother following the death of her father, as evidenced by the photo titled “Mamas Girl” below.

A counselor was hired to join Hoon on the tour, but they were fired after the first week. Following a poor performance at Houston’s Numbers Club on October 20, Hoon went on an all-night drug binge. Blind Melon was scheduled to perform the next day at Tipitina’s in New Orleans.
The band’s soundman, Lyle Eaves, attempted to wake Hoon up so they could complete a sound check on the tour bus, but Hoon was not awake. Hoon had already been confirmed dead before the paramedics came. His death was attributed to a drug overdose. Hoon was laid to rest in the Dayton Cemetery in Dayton, Indiana.
