Baldwin was the youngest son of Alexander Rae Baldwin Jr., a high school social studies teacher and football coach, and Carol Newcomb (née Martineau), the founder of The Baldwin Fund, was born in Massapequa, New York.
The actors Alec, Daniel, and William Baldwin—collectively referred to as the “Baldwin brothers”—are Baldwin’s older brothers. He grew up practicing Catholicism.
Baldwin and William were members of the varsity wrestling team in high school. Jane Sasso and Elizabeth Keuchler are Baldwin’s two older sisters. Baldwin attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

With his spouse, Brazilian graphic designer Kennya Baldwin (née Deodato), whom he wed in 1990, Baldwin resides in the village of Nyack, New York.
Models Alaia and Hailey Bieber are their two kids. Brazilian composer Eumir Deodato is his father-in-law, and Justin Bieber, a musician from Canada, is his son-in-law via his marriage to Hailey. Baldwin has one grandchild, Alaia Aronow (born in 2020), through his son-in-law, Andrew Aronow.
When Stephen and Kennya first met in 1987 on a bus ride in New York City, they were each 19 years old. They got married in 1990 and have been together for more than 30 years. In an interview with Elle in 2021, Hailey discussed the impact of her parent’s marriage on her romantic relationships.
“I know sometimes they drive each other crazy, but they love each other,” she said. “When I was young and I would hear the story of how they met, it sounded like the most romantic thing in the world. You fantasize about having the same thing. I do think it influenced me to want to be married young.”
When asked why he believes his marriage has endured, Stephen told CBS News that forgiveness is essential. “I have a lot of young people say to me, ‘You’re the most youthful Baldwin, and you’ve been married the longest.
How does that work?’ The truth is my wife’s incredible. She puts up with me,” he said in 2012. “We’re meant to be together. More than anything, when those interactions occur that rub you the wrong way, you learn to let it go. That’s the best thing you can do.”

Who is Kennya Baldwin?
Born in Brazil, Kennya Baldwin is the daughter of renowned composer Eumir Deodato. Despite growing up under her father’s spotlight, she decided to relocate to New York for her education. She went to York Preparatory School before enrolling at Parsons School of Design to study graphic design.
But when she encountered her future husband, Stephen Baldwin, on a New York City train in 1987, her suddenly tranquil existence took an unexpected turn.
Shortly after, the two began dating, and throughout their thirty years together, Kennya has managed to stay remarkably unknown despite coming from a famous family. Hailey revealed to Grazia Daily in 2014 that Leonardo DiCaprio even asked her mother out on a date at a pub in London.
Stephen Baldwin’s Career
Baldwin debuted in The Beast after acting on TV. His western TV roles included The Young Riders and Threesome (1994). Baldwin made a debut in The Usual Suspects (1995) and as Barney Rubble in Viva Rock Vegas (2000).
He appeared in 2002’s Celebrity Mole Hawaii, the first celebrity Mole. It aired on ABC in early 2003. He appeared on ABC’s Celebrity Mole Yucatán in early 2004. Baldwin played Jesse Stone: Night Passage’s evil thug in 2006.
Baldwin returned to television in August 2007 as one of nine celebrities in Ty Murray’s Celebrity Bull Riding Challenge on CMT. Baldwin fell from a wooden pontoon and broke his shoulder blade and rib in the first episode.
On doctor’s orders, he departed the show in episode 2. Baldwin starred on NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice from January to March 2008. He placed sixth among 14 celebrities. Competing on the show made him buddies with Trace Adkins.
Baldwin participated in Adkins’s “Muddy Water” music video in October 2008. Baldwin returned to All-Star Celebrity Apprentice in March 2013. He competed on the 2009 NBC reality show I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! Midseason, Baldwin left the show. He baptized Spencer Pratt from The Hills in episode 2.
