Super Pumped Season 2 Renewed: Get Confirmed Release Date Status, Cast – All We Know So Far
The second season of Showtime’s upcoming comedy series Super Pumped has already been officially renewed for a third year before the first season has even aired. With season two, Super Pumped will transition into an anthology series that will continue to explore Silicon Valley. The first season of the show is set to tell the story of the development of the massively successful ride-sharing app Uber, which is currently in its third season. In addition to Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Kyle Chandler, and Uma Thurman, the series also stars Brian Koppelman and David Levien as the show’s creators. The premiere episode of Super Pumped will air on February 27th at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
According to a recent article published by Deadline, Showtime has already renewed the comedy Super Pumped for a second season. This is significant, of course, because the first season hasn’t even aired its first episode as of this writing. As reported by Deadline, the new season will follow the story of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg as the two work together to transform the social media platform from the start-up company that it was when they first started to the superpower it is today. In season two of Super Pumped, writers and showrunners Koppelman and Levin will be joined by Beth Schacter, who will serve as executive producer and showrunner.

There is currently no information available regarding a release date for Super Pumped season two, nor have any casting announcements been announced. This announcement, on the other hand, is extremely encouraging for the upcoming first season of Super Pumped. By renewing the show before viewers have had a chance to see the first episode, it is clear that Showtime believes the show has something special on its hands. Super Pumped Season 1 Plot
Uber’s history of lawsuits, poor workplace culture, infighting, and deception is revealed by a quick scroll through the articles written by New York Times reporter Mike Isaac. He compiled all of this information into the book “Super Pumped,” which details Uber’s journey from startup to a publicly-traded company, as well as all of the glitz, glamour, and shadiness that went along with it. With the addition of Hank Azaria as Apple CEO Tim Cook to the cast, we can anticipate that “Super Pumped” will delve into the drama that has erupted between the company and Uber. According to the New York Times, Cook was on the verge of removing Uber from the App Store in 2015 because the company had violated its privacy policies. Super Pumped Season 1 Cast
Tracey Kalanick, Uber’s co-founder and former CEO, is at the center of the story. He has been embroiled in scandal since joining the company in 2010. He’ll be played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who’s also known for his roles in “Inception,” “500 Days of Summer,” and “3rd Rock from the Sun” (via Variety).
Hank Azaria portrays Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, who works alongside Gordon-Levitt. Azaria has appeared in films such as “The Birdcage,” “Friends,” and the stage production “Spamalot,” but he is best known for his work as the voice of several characters on the animated series “The Simpsons.” He has received Emmy nominations for his voice-over work as Moe, Chief Wiggum, and Comic Book Guy, and he recently announced that he would be leaving his role as Apu.
Kyle Chandler will portray venture capitalist Bill Gurley, who served as a mentor to Kalanick before turning on him. “Friday Night Lights” star Chandler will portray Kalanick. Kerry Bishé, best known for her roles in “Halt and Catch Fire” and “Narcos,” plays Austin Geidt, Uber’s fourth employee who has progressed to the position of executive. Emil Michael, Kalanick’s right-hand man, will be played by Babak Tafti (Succession), while Uber driver Fawzi Kamel (Mousa Hussein Kraish, American Gods) will be played by Mousa Hussein Kraish (American Gods), who had a viral argument with Kalanick.
