As previously announced, the third season of Sweet Magnolias will consist of 10 episodes. In reality, unlike its predecessor and other shows, this one had its renewal delayed; this meant that audience and “stickiness” were ultimately what determined the show’s fate. This suggests that Netflix will consider the show’s popularity among its users. Despite this, Sweet Magnolias has been able to keep a large fan base for a considerable amount of time.

Production for the third season of Sweet Magnolias has begun in Covington and Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Cast Details of Season 3 of Sweet Magnolias
Without Maddie Townsend (JoAnna Garcia Swisher), Dana Sue Sullivan (Brooke Elliot), and Heather Headley (Heather), Sweet Magnolias just would not be the same (Helen Decatur). Their returns have been confirmed in full. All three of their offspring will return, played by Carson Rowland, Logan Allen, and Anneliese Judge Annie.
Philandering Chris Klein, played by Klein, Bill had less of a presence in season two, but he still affected the key characters, so he will probably make an appearance or two if only to see how his many, many children are doing.
Noreen’s co-star, Jamie Lynn Spears, has also confirmed her return to the show by posting photographs from the set of Season 3 with the message, “It’s giving #Season3.” The blonde actress had earlier hinted at Noreen’s return by posting a photo of herself with brown hair to represent her character.

Ronnie, played by Brandon Quinn, Maddie’s on-and-off spouse, had a redemptive journey in the second season and was welcomed back into the family home. You can probably bank on him to make a comeback, barring any extraordinary circumstances that involve a time jump from which he runs away.
Call (Justin Bruening) found himself in custody after flying off the handle as previous anger issues resurfaced. While it would be unexpected if he suddenly vanished without warning, young Isaac (Chris Medlin) has only just found his feet after looking for his birth parents in Serenity. Possible new cast members will be announced later; in the meantime, stay tuned for updates.
Who knows what will happen in the third season of Sweet Magnolias?
It is reasonable to say that there is a lot of ground to cover in the show’s third season. When asked about the third season of Sweet Magnolias, star JoAnna Garcia Swisher told ET earlier this year that it would pick up “close to where we left off,” adding, “I don’t think you can come back months later and say, ‘Whatever happened with Helen?’ and ‘Is Justin in jail?’ Why not go big or go home?”
Even before season 3 was officially confirmed, showrunner Sheryl J. Anderson could not hide the fact that she was hoping for more time with the gang in the future. Exceptionally since a dubious character from Dana Sue’s past has returned to torment her.
At Mrs. Francis’s funeral, Dana Sue’s daughter Annie was confronted by an unknown woman who called her mother a “life ruiner.” This incident served as the pivotal event of Season 2. Later in the episode, the same woman is seen on video when she slashes the tyres of Sullivan’s delivery van.

The three women recognized her in the video and said in unison, “She’s back.” “I will just say she has a past in common with our ladies and some other folks in town,” showrunner Sheryl J. Anderson told TVLine of the unnamed woman.
“After a long absence, she has returned, and this time she has a plan. She claims she is “settling scores” by returning home. Since welcoming Ronnie back into the family home, Dana has also been working on mending her marriage to him.
How long will their reconciliation last? Will he go back to cheating on her, or will he finally learn his lesson?
Moreover, Helen’s ex-boyfriend Ryan proposed to her before the finale, leaving the season on a tremendous cliffhanger. She must decide between him and her new lover, Erik. I could see her going anyway, and of course, they do not inform me,” Headley said to TVLine. “Netflix is concerned that I’ll spill all the secrets for a good bowl of macaroni and cheese.”
Moreover, there is the aftermath of the brawl at Sullivan’s, where Cal was taken into custody by the police due to an outburst of wrath after being fired as the high school coach. I wonder how Maddie will react now that she knows this hidden side of Cal.
“In a potential third season, it’s certainly something Cal needs to unpack and examine whether he has handled past events properly, why he lost it when not losing it is so important to him, and what choices he can make going forward,” Sheryl told Entertainment Weekly. “Not just for himself, but also for the people he loves.”
Furthermore, the town is holding a recall election, and it is constantly suggested that Maddie should replace the Mayor if he is defeated. If this happens, Maddie’s family is much more dangerous since the Mayor’s vengeful wife will be even more enraged (especially considering how easily she caused trouble for Cal).

Last but not least, Issac has finally found out who his biological parents are, only to discover that their reactions to his existence are as different as chalk and cheese. While Bill may have been the most fertile man in Serenity, he showed little interest in his hidden child. Honestly, he had no idea the child even existed until recently.
However, assuming he gives it some time, would he eventually change his mind? Maybe he will have a nervous breakdown when he finds out that Issac is best friends with Noreen, the mother of the child that caused him to divorce Maddie.
