The White Supremacist in Canada Who Killed a Muslim Family is Given a Life Term!
A Canadian white supremacist who killed four members of a Muslim family by running them over on purpose has been given a life term in jail. For the shocking attack that rocked Canada, 23-year-old Nathaniel Veltman was found guilty in November on four charges of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder.
Killings included 46-year-old Salman Afzaal, 44-year-old Madiha Salman, their 15-year-old daughter Yumnah, and 74-year-old Afzaal’s mother Talat. The nine-year-old kid of the couple was critically injured but made it out alive.
At the time of the incident, the family was on a stroll close to their residence in the Ontario town of London. For the first time, the judge in this case declared that Veltman’s attack constituted an act of terrorism, designating acts of violence committed by white nationalists.

At this Thursday’s sentencing, Ontario Superior Court of Justice Judge Renee Pomerance declared, “I find that the offender’s actions constitute terrorist activity.” The attack on Canadian Muslims in 2021 was the worst since a man shot and killed six members of a mosque in Quebec City in 2017.
The prosecution cited Veltman’s manifesto, in which he expressed anti-Islamic sentiment and opposed both multiculturalism and mass immigration. Shortly after the assault, Veltman said, “I did it. I killed those people.”
Veltman entered a not-guilty plea to the murder charges. His defense claimed the acts amounted to a lesser charge of manslaughter, noting what it called Veltman’s mental difficulties.
