The most popular sport in the United States has returned for what promises to be an action-packed new season. In Week 1 of the NFL season, seven games were decided by three points or fewer.
There is a full schedule of exciting games in Week 2 of the NFL season, including Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers taking on the New Orleans Saints and the Cincinnati Bengals taking on the Dallas Cowboys without Dak Prescott (0-1).

This week, Brady made headlines on and off the field as he talked about retiring and his upcoming marriage to Gisele Bündchen and led the Bucs to a comfortable 19-3 season-opening win over the Cowboys. The Bucs’ second game of the season, in New Orleans against the team they can not seem to beat, figures to be more difficult.
After losing their first two meetings with the Bucs in the Brady era, the Saints have won seven straight regular-season games against them. Earlier this season, the Saints gave Brady the first home shutout loss of his legendary NFL career.

Returning for his 23rd season, the 45-year-old quarterback has not suffered more than a three-game losing run to a single opponent since the Patriots’ 0-3 skid against the Broncos from 2005-09. The Bucs’ primary issue will be preventing turnovers and sacks this Sunday.
The Saints have outscored Brady’s teams by a combined 11-2 in turnovers and have recorded 13 sacks to just 4 in their last four losses. To keep their winning streak alive, the Saints will need to play significantly better than they did in their season opener against the Atlanta Falcons.
The offense and defense for New Orleans struggled early on, as the team found themselves behind 16-3 at the break. But with Winston throwing for 213 yards and two touchdowns in the fourth quarter, the team rallied to make up 16 points. The Saints escaped Atlanta with a victory by a single point.
If the Saints hope to defeat the Bucs, they will need to play well throughout the whole game, not just in the final minutes. Also, the current head coach for the Saints, Dennis Allen, was the defensive coordinator for the team that successfully shut down Brady in the past.
He has a history of successfully identifying and exploiting holes in the defense of the seven-time Super Bowl champion. It may just be week two, but both teams now have a shot at a division title. Sunday at 1 p.m. ET is the first of two regular season matches.

Cleveland Browns vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
The Bengals of Joe Burrow have gotten off to a less-than-stellar start to the season. The wild overtime defeat to the Steelers was primarily due to Burrow’s poor play (he threw five interceptions). The Cowboys’ offense also struggled to get things going in the first game of the season, as they were the only club in Week 1 not to score a touchdown.
Dak Prescott, the team’s quarterback, went down in the fourth quarter with an injury to his throwing hand and will be gone for a while. Although it is never ideal to get out to a losing start, neither of these teams needs to worry too much about it. In the postseason since 2002, 59.4 percent of teams had a 1-2 record to begin the year.
The Los Angeles Rams won the Super Bowl last season despite having the worst record in the NFL. After all this, it is easy to see why a victory in week two would do wonders for morale. On offense, the Cowboys will need to make adjustments without Prescott.
Cooper Rush, the backup quarterback, had never started a game before, although he did so in week 8 of last season when Dak Prescott was sidelined with a calf strain. Rush performed admirably, delivering the game-winning touchdown pass to wide receiver Amari Cooper in the waning seconds of regulation.
While the Bengals have a tough defense, his lack of experience may show. Sunday at 4:25 p.m. Eastern Time is when everything will get going.
Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers
The Bears and the Packers will play at Lambeau Field on Sunday night. The Packers hope to get back on track after their 23-7 loss to the Vikings and maintain dominance in this one-sided contest within the NFC North. The Bears had not beaten the Packers in the regular season since 2018 when the Packers won 20 of 23.

The Packers’ recent struggles suggest this could be the Bears’ moment to break through. Aaron Rodgers, the quarterback for the Packers, had a rough day against the Vikings. Adams, a wide receiver, was missed. Rogers went 22 for 34 for 195 yards and no touchdowns with an interception, and he showed clear signs of frustration throughout the game as Green Bay failed to reach double digits in scoring.
The Bears feel confident going into Sunday night’s game after their opening week victory over the 49ers, in which they scored 19 unanswered points on a soggy Soldier Field. Although the Bears are on a roll, the Packers have more tradition. On Sunday at 8:25 PM EST, the truth will be revealed.
