More information, including who ended it, has come out about why Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez broke up after being together for four years and being engaged for two. Even though they both agreed in the end, Source says that Lopez had serious doubts.
A source told Entertainment Tonight that the two “decided that their relationship has run its course.” After cheating rumors about Rodriguez came out last month, Lopez wasn’t sure if she wanted to marry him. “Jennifer thought that getting married wasn’t the right thing to do,” the source said. “Recently, Alex’s character has been questioned, which made Jennifer feel bad. The two people will always treat each other with respect.”
“Because of the Madison LeCroy scandal, they finally broke up. There were already problems, but Jennifer was very embarrassed by them. LeCroy, a reality star from the show Southern Charm, said that she and Rodriguez might have talked over DM in February.
At the time, a source told Entertainment Tonight that J.Lo didn’t care about the LeCroy rumors. “They are so close as a couple and as a family with their children, and these rumors wouldn’t change that, “said the source. “Jennifer doesn’t care about the Alex and Madison rumors and they don’t bother her. She thinks it’s just noise from the outside and believes Alex. She loves him so much.”
In private, it wasn’t like that at all. A source told People that Lopez and Rodriguez had known for a while that things were done. The breakup was put off by the work they did together.
“This has been coming for a long time,” said the source. “Since they work together, it’s not easy for them to break up. It’s taken them a while to even start to think about how to sort it all out.”
In her January interview with ELLE, Lopez gave hints that this was the case. She talked twice about putting off their wedding, but she wouldn’t say for sure if it would happen or not.
“The wedding was put off twice, “she told me. “We had planned what we wanted to do, but I don’t know if we’ll be able to do it again. We called it off, and we haven’t talked much about it since. We’re not in a hurry. We want to get it right as soon as we can. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens.”
