Following his on-screen and stage roles as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the cult classic The Rocky Horror Show in 1973, Tim Curry went on to establish himself as a well-known household celebrity. Tim had a stroke in July of 2012, his representative informed The Hollywood Reporter in 2013. “Tim had a stroke last July. He has been going to physical therapy and doing very well and still has a great sense of humor. He thanks everyone for sending good wishes.”
Tim seemed to have adapted better to this significant life transition by 2015. Prior to the 19th annual Actors Fund Tony Awards Viewing Party in Los Angeles, the actor told Los Angeles Magazine, “I’m doing well and I’m looking forward to it. I believe the Actors Fund to be an amazing organization, having done a few benefit events for them. I really hope I don’t need it.” Tim received a lifetime achievement award on a particular occasion.
“It means that it just sort of solidifies the kind of work the American acting community has given me for years now. It’s very gracious of them, I think. I was thrilled when they told me and I am thrilled now,” he went on to tell the magazine at the time.
What Is Tim Curry Doing Now?
Despite his limited movement following the stroke, Tim’s passion for acting remained unaffected. Despite reducing his number of public appearances due to his wheelchair, the celebrity still makes appearances at select ceremonies and special events.

In addition, he has changed the direction of his acting career to one that is only voice acting. Tim has contributed his voice to several projects since his stroke, including Ben 10: Omniverse, Ribbit, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
Tim was sighted in October 2023 at CreepieCon 2023 by a fan. Strangely enough, the fan was none other than cosplayer Michael Taeza, who gained notoriety for portraying the iconic Pennywise. In 2023, Tim has also been very busy, having taken part in several GalaxyCon interviews.
