Who Is Jlo Dating: Jennifer Lopez And Ben Affleck Are Getting Married!
After breaking up their engagement in 2004, the two started dating again in 2015. Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are ready to get married.
The two got back together last year and are now engaged, a rep for Lopez tells PEOPLE. Lopez wrote about the news in her newsletter, “On the JLo,” a few days after she was seen wearing what looked like an engagement ring.
She told her closest friends about the exciting news in an email on Friday night. The message to fans was accompanied by a video of Lopez looking at a big green stone on a silver band on her ring finger. Her sister Lynda also posted a picture of the stone on social media.
In an old newsletter, the singer of “If You Had My Love” said that green was her favorite color. “I’ve learned that many amazing things have happened to me when I was wearing green,” she said. “You might remember a certain green dress,” he said.
Lopez posted a video on Twitter that night to hint at the “major announcement.” “So, I’d like to tell you a really interesting and unique story…” Lopez told those who follow her. She also added an emoji of a diamond ring to her Twitter name.

In March, when Lopez accepted the Icon Award at the iHeartRadio Music Awards with his son Samuel and her daughter Emme by her side, Affleck was there to cheer her on.
Lopez recently told PEOPLE that their relationship is different now than it was 18 years ago because they are older, smarter, have more experience, are in different places in their lives, and have kids. He said, “We have to be very aware of these things.”
The Marry Me actress, who is 52, has twins, Emme and Max, who are 14 years old, with her ex-husband Marc Anthony. Affleck, who is 49, has Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10, with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
Lopez told PEOPLE, “It’s a beautiful thing that this happened in this way at this time in our lives when we can appreciate, celebrate, and respect each other.” “We always did, but now that we know life can take you in different directions, we appreciate it even more.”
She said, “We’ve been in the public eye long enough to know who we are as people and what’s important and what’s not. We both have children, and we treat each other well. We try to live our lives in a way that makes us and our kids proud. We just treat everyone in our lives with love and respect, and that’s very important to us. We know what is true, and we hold it in high regard.”
Lopez and Affleck started dating in July 2002 and got engaged in November of that year. But just days before their wedding date in September 2003, they decided to put it off. In the end, they decided not to get married in January 2004.
In December, Affleck told WSJ. Magazine that he felt “lucky” to have been given second chances at work and in his personal life.
“I’ve been given second chances at work. As a person, I’ve had second chances. Life is hard, and we make mistakes all the time. Hopefully, we learn from these mistakes “he said. “You only need a second chance to take advantage of the opportunities that growth brings. I have tried to use that to my advantage. I haven’t always been successful, but when I have, it’s been the most important thing in my life.”
