Kacey told The New York Times in a new interview that she has been dating Cole Shafer since June of 2021. They met in New York City. Kacey told the outlet that they locked eyes across the room at a restaurant, just like Romeo and Juliet. But “He didn’t know who I was, which I loved,” was the biggest surprise, the singer said.
Cole told Kacey on her birthday in August 2021 that they were dating, which was a sweet thing to do. The Instagram post, which had several black-and-white photos of the two of them on dates and cuddled up in bed, said nothing but nice things about his girlfriend. He also said that he had listened to her upcoming album “three times” and that it “f—ks.”

Kacey Had Been Linked To Dr. Gerald Onuhoa In The Past.
The singer of “Space Cowboy” posted some cute pictures of her and Dr. Gerald Onuhoa, who lives in Nashville, to her Instagram story on April 12, 2021.
This wasn’t the first time Kacey and Gerald were seen together, but it was the clearest sign that their relationship was getting serious. In April, the country star’s first post about them being together was a selfie of them taken at night.
Aside from that, paparazzi had seen the two of them out and about in Los Angeles, including on a bike ride with Kourtney Kardashian and Atiana De La Hoya down the Venice boardwalk.
Before Gerald, Kacey was married to her ex-husband Ruston Kelly from 2017 until 2020, when they announced they were getting a divorce.
“That’s all there is to it. “It’s two people who love each other so much, but it just didn’t work out for so many reasons,” she told Rolling Stone magazine about their breakup. “Well, like, the seasons change. The time of year changed.”
“Part of me has doubts about marriage in general,” she said. “I mean, when it came into my life, I was ready for it. I took it in. I just need to tell myself that I was strong to act on those feelings. But look at Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. Something is going right for them.”
